Well I almost made it! I forgot that I hadn't added the backing pads for the forward beam and shroud lashing pad yet, so I have six fillets left to do. These will be easy though. Grace's brother is in town and managed to loft up the decks for the port hull today.

  1. Looking really good Brad - nice work.

  2. Looks like a great effort! Just be careful of that pine framing timber. It looks to be radiatti possibly southern cross brand? anyway, the stuff rots like crazy. I wouldn't use anywhere but well sealed inside the boat.

  3. Jeff, I used pine for the bunk bearers and stiffeners inside with thick epoxy coatings. Everything else is Douglas Fir (deck stringers, tillers, cross beams, beam sockets, etc). The ply is all Joubert Okoume.

Hopefully Beto won't wither out too quickly
